Experience Has Taught Well

37+ YEARS IN HEALTHCARE 1000+ HOSPITALS SERVED MANY SOLUTIONS FOR HEALTHCARE

Unscrewed Vol 2

Where are we now?

Where do we want to be?

What can we do to close the gap?

Not having a clear understanding of the answers to these questions can lead to… well… the possibility of being “screwed.”  I know it’s strong wording but probably not for our client who was led to purchase proprietary software when the operation and workflow was already contained in the mobile device.

Through an onsite Technical Gap Assessment, the most cost-effective solutions that produce the best outcomes can be identified before purchase decisions are made. If you have found yourself “screwed” the story of the IT and materials management teams featured below may give you hope:

Just like all healthcare facilities, our new client had various teams impacting their materials management process. They have a non-standardized process that was reliant on an outdated technology. This solution was based on a proprietary software license subscription. They were locked into it, it was not functioning, and they were not able to get support on the solution they were paying for.

“We were able to come onsite and analyze their technical workflow deficiencies and functionalities to standardize and isolate their process. We then took that data and supplied them a trial of a tablet-based mobile solution that was built on their existing EMR. This is functionality they didn’t know they had was in their EMR’s back pocket (MEDITECH). We brought in Subject Matter Experts and Engineers in the trial process to prove proof of concept. We helped train them on their already existing services making the software subscription meaningless. This removed the need to continue to pay for licensing of an archaic solution that was non-functional. We have unscrewed them, now we are thriving partners expanding our services throughout their facility and departments.” David Dean, president and CEO of ACS MediHealth.

Yep, once again the ACS MediHealth team made good use of our tools…especially our screwdriver.
